At the facility "Bypass of the Shkotovo - Smolyaninovo section of the Far Eastern Railway", specialists from MMS International (a subsidiary of JSC “Mosmetrostroy”) completed the driving of the first 100 linear meters of the calotte (upper ledge) along the second tunnel from the Eastern portal. 60 linear meters have been passed through the first tunnel.
Due to difficult geological conditions, tunneling is carried out in three ledges with advanced fastening - in the arched part, "screens" are constructed from pipes with a diameter of 114x7 mm, the "forehead" of the face is fixed with horizontal soil-cement piles using jet-grouting technology. At the same time, metro builders are erecting a rough lining in open-pit areas and a final reverse vault. In the future, it is planned to build a permanent lining of the tunnels using mechanized formwork.
The length of the two tunnels is 1450 and 1420 meters. Mining is carried out simultaneously from the Eastern and Western portals by four faces. Insertion of the first tunnel from the Western Portal is scheduled for November this year. At present, a portal excavation is being constructed here with the arrangement of drainage and drainage ditches. More than 100 thousand m³ of soil has already been developed out of 370 thousand m³.
More than 50 units of special mining and general construction machines and mechanisms, as well as 450 people of working specialties, are involved in the entire construction site.
