It is located next to the Russian Army Theater, just west of Suvorov Square and north of the intersection with the Ring Line. The station received its name in honor of the writer, who was born in this district of Moscow.
Its design is dominated by black and white tones. The panel of the Florentine mosaic, made by the artist I. V. Nikolaev, illustrate the most famous works of Dostoevsky.
